CTA Bus Crashes Into Traffic Light At 71st And Cottage Grove
More than 20 people were injured when a bus crashed into a pole in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood Wednesday morning.

CHICAGO - A CTA bus crashed into a traffic pole at a busy intersection in the city's Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood Wednesday morning before rush hour. Multiple reports indicate that more than 20 people were injured in the crash, including one person who was hospitalized in critical condition.
The crash was reported by both WGN and the Chicago Tribune. Photos shared by both news outlets show emergency vehicles surrounding the stalled bus that had knocked down the traffic light at the location.
The latest update, as of 8 a.m., is that 21 people on the bus were hospitalized. Five bus riders refused treatment, according to the Tribune.
