Unhappy With Milkshake, Man Says He'll Call ICE On Ice Cream Shop
A racist Facebook message targeted a popular shop in Chicago's East Side neighborhood.

CHICAGO, IL — A Facebook message threatened staff who work at an ice cream shop in Chicago's East Side neighborhood, according to a screenshot of the conversation. In the message, a customer threatened to call immigration officials on the shop, which is owned by Mexican Americans. La Michoacana is a popular parlor that serves a variety of popsicles and more than 30 flavors of ice cream.
The customer posted negative comments on the East Side of Chicago neighborhood page, and the store's owners requested they communicate privately, according to a report by ABC 7.
The customer was apparently unhappy with his milkshake, and his private messaging turned into outright threats, according to screenshots of the conversation.

"I'm sorry that you don't know how to train incompetent illegal aliens I promise you I won't go back," the message said. "I have friends that work for ICE I think I'll send them there..."
After a screenshot of the message was posted to the East Side of Chicago neighborhood page, countless people expressed outrage over the threats and many rallied behind the shop.

The person who posted the screenshot said he removed it on Tuesday after getting nasty responses. "I had to wait for my lunch hour to read the comments and frankly I’m saddened by them," the man wrote. "How did we sink so low? ... Let’s follow the example set by the owner of La Michoacána and keep it classy East Side."
