The “Count on Me” vaccine clinic will allow Englewood residents the opportunity to get a shot in their own community, as many South Side and West Side neighborhoods of Chicago often face barriers to resources and healthcare. Currently, Englewood (60621), stands as one of the Zip Codes with the lowest first-shot vaccination rates in the city, at only 26.2 percent and a complete dose rate at a staggering 18.9 percent, according to Chicago’s vaccination data.
Additional support for the COVID-19 vaccination clinic is also provided by State Sens. Mattie Hunter and Jacqueline Collins, and State Reps. Andre Thapedi, Sonya Harper and Lemont Robinson.
