Hadiya Pendleton: Jury Selection To Begin In 15-Year-Old's Murder
The teen, who had performed at President Obama's inauguration events was shot in the back while walking home from school.
CHICAGO, IL — Five years after her murder made national headlines, the two men charged with killing 15-year-old Hadiya Pendleton are set to go on trial starting Friday.
“I don’t know what to expect. So, honestly, I’m just going to court every day, and I’m going to pray every day that justice is served,” her mother Cleo Pendleton said earlier this year of the upcoming trial.
