Police Release Sketch Of Alleged Rapist In South Chicago

The sexual assault occurred at 10:30 p.m. June 3 in the 8200 block of south Escanaba Avenue on Chicago's South Side.

CHICAGO, IL — Chicago police have released a sketch of a man who allegedly ran down a woman and sexually assaulted her in an alley in the South Chicago neighborhood.

The sketch released Wednesday morning portrays a black man, approximately five feet, six inches to five feet, nine inches tall. He weights roughly 180 lbs., has a medium-brown complexion and a beard. The man was wearing blue hoody, blue jogging pants and a Chicago Bulls baseball cap at the time of the assault, police said.

The sexual assault occurred around 10:30 p.m. June 3 in the 8200 block of south Escanaba Avenue in South Chicago, according to the police.

In an earlier alert, police said the victim was walking down the street when she noticed the unknown man following her. She then "became afraid and attempted to run away," police said.
