Tyson Foods Plant Sold

OSI Group buys plant in Back of the Yards.

Chicago, IL - A suburban food processing group paid $7.4 million this month to buy the former Tyson Food plant in the city’s Back of the Yards neighborhood.

OSI Group, based in Aurora, takes over ownership of the Tyson plant at 4201 S. Ashland Ave., according to the Chicago Tribune.

Tyson Foods said last year that 480 jobs would be lost when the facility shuts down on Oct. 1.
