Woman Hurt As Semi Jackknifes On I-294

The Sunday morning crash shut down the interstate for about an hour on the South Side of Chicago.

CHICAGO — A crash on the Bishop Ford Freeway jack-knifed a semitrailer and left a 44-year-old woman injured Sunday morning. The woman was taken to Roseland Hospital for minor injuries, according to the Chicago Fire Department.

The crash took place shortly after 8 a.m. on southbound I-294 near the Stony Island exit. By 9 a.m., the interstate was reopened, according to Illinois State Police.
