99-Year-Old Springfield Woman Beats The Coronavirus: ABC 20

The woman, who turns 100 in September, spent two rough weeks in the hospital, but she is now home with her family, according to the report.

SPRINGFIELD, IL — A 99-year-old Springfield woman has beat the coronavirus after a weekslong battle at a local hospital, ABC 20 and Fox Illinois report. Betty Draper, who will turn 100 in September, was discharged Wednesday and is now home with her family.

Draper's family said she had a "rough few days" in the hospital, but upon her return home, friends and neighbors greeted her with homemade signs reading "Draper strong" and "99! Stronger than COVID-19!" according to the news report.
