Bomb Threat Evacuates Springfield Schools
The threats were received via phone on Tuesday morning.

SPRINGFIELD, IL — Students at Springfield High School and Grant Middle School were evacuated Tuesday morning after someone called in bomb threats, the State Journal-Register reported. School district officials said in a news release that while the threats weren't deemed credible, the students were evacuated out of an abundance of caution.
Parents were notified via automated calls and text message, according to the Journal-Register. The threats, called in at around 10:40 a.m., mark the seventh and eighth bomb threats this school year.
By 12:20 p.m., classes had resumed, and dismissal and after-school activities were slated to take place as usual.
