Springfield Gets a Little Sweeter with New Nothing Bundt Cakes
After six years in Christian ministry, couple excited to share joy in another way

Kristen and Theo Spilman enjoyed training the multitudes of people who came through the Austrian-based Christian ministry in which they were involved for more than six years. With two small children born abroad, they realized their desire to be closer to their families in the states. And, Kristen, who was born and raised in Springfield, was thrilled when they found an opportunity to ‘have their cake and eat it too’ – back in her hometown. With the ability to share joy with guests, create a legacy for their children and actively bless their community through this generosity-based business, the Spilmans are excited to create lasting connections and impact their world in a positive way. “We loved the work we did and the people we met, but we realized that we were missing the bonds of family, especially as our children were growing,” reflects Kristen. “In addition, Nothing Bundt Cakes provides a unique experience that we are proud to introduce to the area and are excited to share a little bit of joy with every person we meet.” The bakery will celebrate their opening with a day to benefit St. John’s Children’s Hospital in addition to a socially-responsible ribbon cutting (see details below).
