UScellular Names Mike Burwell Director of Retail Sales

UScellular has named Mike Burwell to director of retail sales and operations for Illinois. In this role, Burwell is responsible for leading his team of wireless technology experts to help customers select the devices, plans and consumer electronics to best meet their needs. Burwell, originally from the Midwest, has moved throughout the country during his 21 years with UScellular and has been back in the region for the past eight years.

“At UScellular, we invest in our associates to ensure they have the proper training and knowledge to help our customers make informed decisions about their wireless service,” said Eric Conlon, area vice president/general manager for UScellular in the Wisconsin/Illinois Region. “Mike’s passion for learning throughout his UScellular tenure is inspiring and motivating, and I am excited to have him guide our Illinois team.”

Burwell most recently served as director of sales for UScellular in Missouri, Oregon, California and Washington. Burwell started his career with the company as a store manager in Idaho. He dedicates time to volunteer with several organizations and causes including the Boys and Girls Club, veterans support, and USA Wrestling in support of youth wrestling where he serves as the board president. Additional areas of enjoyment include spending time with his five grandchildren, coaching youth wrestling and outdoor cooking.
