5 Shots Fired In Drive-By At Intimo Lounge In Tinley Park: Police

Police said five gunshots were fired into the business late Thursday night, and several windows were shattered.

TINLEY PARK, IL — The Tinley Park Police Department said a drive-by shooting occurred at the Intimo Lounge, 7068 W. 183rd St. late Thursday night.

Police said officers got to the lounge around 11:54 p.m. after someone drove past the lounge and fired five gunshots inside. The bullets shattered several windows and nobody was injured, police said.

Police did not share a description of the car the person was driving, saying it is unknown. According to officials, when police got there the car had fled.

Tinley Park police said they are currently investigating the incident and looking "thoroughly" into all camera footage in the area. Mayor Jacob Vandenberg, who is also the liquor commissioner of the village, authorized to temporarily close the lounge for a week, to "ensure no threat to the welfare of the community."

Police said a Licensing Committee hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 26, to discuss potential business license revocation.
