April Road Closures Planned For Tinley's Harmony Square Project
Harmony Square construction is expected to begin next week. Here is how it will affect your commute and access to North Street.
TINLEY PARK, IL — Sections of North Street will be closed beginning April 15 as part of the construction of the Harmony Square Plaza project.
The new community plaza will be located next to North Street and Oak Park Avenue and construction is expected to continue through the summer.
During the first phase of the project, the eastern section of North Street will be closed. Commuters who want to access the train station parking lot will be able to enter it through the western entrance closest to Oak Park Avenue.

By July, the closure will shift to the western section of the road. Parking lot access will then move to the eastern entrance.

Once it's complete, Harmony Square will feature a year-round programming schedule with music performances, outdoor exercise classes, ice skating and other activities. The new plaza will include a performance stage, a splash pad and overhead shade structures.
