Armed Carjacking Outside Panera Bread In Tinley Park: Police
Police said a person was robbed of their vehicle at gunpoint. The car was found at 85th and Ashland in Chicago, according to police
TINLEY PARK, IL — Tinley Park Police said police were dispatched to Panera Bread, 7204 W. 191st St., for an armed carjacking around 12:48 p.m. Tuesday.
Police said the robber approached the victim with a handgun and demanded their vehicle. The robber got in the vehicle and left the area, leaving the victim behind, according to police.
The robber is described as a black man, around 5'7" with a thin build, wearing a black shirt and zip-up hoodie, according to police.

Police said the victim was not harmed during the hijacking. The stolen vehicle was recovered by Tinley Park Police Investigators at 85th and Ashland in Chicago, according to police.
Investigators took two people into custody, according to police.

Police believe a second vehicle was used as a "trail car." This car was described as a teal SUV with three people inside, according to police.
Police said the crime is being investigated by the Investigations Unit. All public and private resources are being utilized during the investigation, police said.
