Attempted Kidnapping In Tinley Park 'Unfounded': Police
The village said after following up on leads, the complaint was determined unfounded.
TINLEY PARK, IL — The Tinley Park Police Department Investigations Division said the previously reported attempted kidnapping within the village was unfounded, after initially saying it happened near 183rd Street and Oak Park Avenue on Friday, around 11:15 a.m.
Police initially said they were searching for two white men in their 40s, driving a 2000 Chevrolet, dark gray pick-up truck. The investigation division said that after following up on leads, the initial complaint was "unfounded."
Police originally said the men tried to talk a child into getting in their car, but the child ignored them and ran off to safety.
