Berrios and Kelly Co-Host Appeal Seminar to Help Homeowners Understand and Appeal their Reassessment Values
The Cook County Assessor’s Office and Orland Township Assessor’s Office co-hosted an assessment seminar on August 24th at the Orland Township Offices. Information was provided about appeals and exemptions and assistance was given to those taxpayers wishing to file assessment appeals.
"We want to thank Orland Township Assessor Rich Kelly for inviting us to conduct the very well-attended assessment seminar,” Assessor Berrios said. “My primary goal continues to be fair and equitable assessment of properties not only in Orland Township, but throughout Cook County. We conduct more than 200 outreach events each year and work to make the process as easy and transparent as possible.”
Each year, the Cook County Assessor's Office (CCAO) reassesses one-third of the nearly 1.8 million parcels of property located in Cook County. This year, CCAO is reassessing properties located in South Suburban Cook County.
