If you’re looking to boost your brainpower, you’ll be in good company in these top 25 smartest cities in Illinois.

Zippia studied 340 of the largest towns in the state, looking for the city that boasts the brainiest citizens. They focused on Census data of high school completion, including the percentage of adults over 25 who had obtained at least a high school diploma and the percentage of teenagers who have dropped out of high school. From the study:

We thought this criteria was representative of the current state of smarts with the potential for a place to improve the education levels of the next generation. And it’s not like we are setting the education bar incredibly high — 80% of students graduate from high school nowadays.
