Hillcrest High School Announces New Head Football Coach
District 228 and Hillcrest High School Welcome Kyran Weaver to Head Coach Position

Hillcrest High School has named Kyran Weaver as its new Head Football Coach. For the past three years, Weaver has served as Defensive Coordinator, Special Teams Coordinator, and Linebacker Coach for the Hawks. Before coaching for the Hawks, Weaver spent nearly ten years coaching collegiate football.
Weaver began his coaching career in 2006 at his alma mater, Missouri S&T. He worked as a student assistant with the defensive line while finishing up his coursework in biological sciences. He was then named to the staff as defensive line coach prior to the 2007 season. Weaver has also coached at Austin Peay State University and Harper College.
Kyran Weaver is the eldest of four members of the Weaver family who have all played football for and graduated from Hillcrest High School. While at Hillcrest, he was selected to the CBS Prep Star All-Region team in 2000. He was also named twice to the Illinois State Coaches Association All-State honorable mention and to the All-State Academic Team. Additionally, Weaver earned SICA Green Honors following his junior and senior years and was named the conference MVP following the 1999 season.
