How Many Millionaires Does Illinois Have?
New report shows the number of Illinois millionaires in 2015 increased by 13,800 after a loss of 4,000 in 2014. Here's how we compare.

Illinois ranks No. 20 in the nation for the number of millionaires per capita, according to a new report.
Phoenix Marketing International’s Global Wealth Monitor’s “Millionaires by State Ranking” report for 2015 ranks all 50 states and Washington D.C. based upon the ratio of households with at least $1 million in investable assets to the total number of households in each state.
While Illinois’ ratio is near the middle of the pack, the Land of Lincoln has the fifth most millionaire households in the nation, increasing by nearly 13,800 from 2014-2015.
