Local Chambers of Commerce want to “Bring On the Blue!”

Support our Local Frontline Workers

The Tinley Park Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the Orland Park, Mokena, New Lenox, Lockport, Frankfort, Oak Forest-Crestwood Chambers of Commerce and the Heritage Corridor Business Alliance to show support for healthcare workers and first responders who work tirelessly to make sure our communities remain safe during the COVID-19 pandemic crisis.

Businesses and community residents are encouraged to display blue ribbons physically, virtually, or both.

“Tie blue ribbons, or any blue fabric, to your front door or trees on your property,” said Jackie Bobbitt, Tinley Park Chamber of Commerce Executive Director. “This is something that anyone can participate in. No need to go buy blue ribbon - you can make one, draw one or find something blue around your home to display.”

Bobbitt also suggests posting the campaign to social media with an image of a blue ribbon and tagging your local health care facility, first responder location or favorite healthcare hero.

“It would be wonderful to see our community sharing blue ribbon around town,” said Bobbitt. “Let this display be a sign of gratitude for the bravery of our healthcare professionals and first responders and a reminder that we are all in this together."
