Man Dies After Metra Train Hits Him in Tinley Park (Update)
Adam Casey, of Oak Forest, was pronounced dead at the scene less than half an hour after being struck Friday night, Sun-Times Media reports.

UPDATE (7:40 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014): The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man hit by the Metra train as Adam Casey, 28, of the 5000 block of 167th Street in Oak Forest, according to a Sun-Times Media report.

A man died after a Metra train hit him Friday night near Tinley Park’s 80th Avenue station, Sun-Times Media reports.

The identity of the man, 28, was not being released as of Saturday morning while authorities try to contact the family, the report stated.

The incident happened at about 11 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8, when an outbound train on the Rock Island line hit the man, the report stated. The man was pronounced dead at the scene about 20 minutes after he was hit, the report added.
