Man Tried to Lure Teenage Girl into His Car: Cops
The incident happened Sunday afternoon on Oak Park Avenue in Tinley Park. He told the girl she "looked like she needed company."

TINLEY PARK, IL — Tinley Park police are warning residents of a man who attempted to lure a teenage girl into his car Sunday.
The man—believed to be in his 50s—tried to convince a 17-year-old girl to get into his vehicle as she was walking on the sidewalk at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 2 in the 17200 block of Oak Park Avenue.
Tinley Park police said the man was driving a red four-door vehicle southbound on Oak Park Avenue when he saw the girl, pulled into a nearby parking lot, turned his vehicle around and then drove into the Subway parking lot to talk to her.

The man asked the girl if she needed a ride and said she looked like she needed company, but left the lot and traveled northbound on Oak Park Avenue once he realized she was trying to get his license plate information.
The girl described the man as white with a short white/blonde hair and a large build. The Tinley Park Police Department asks anyone with information regarding this incident to call (708) 444-5300.
