Metra Rock Island Trains Moving Again After Train Hits Pedestrian
Some Metra Rock Island trains are beginning to move after a commuter train hit a pedestrian in Tinley Park. Delays are expected.
TINLEY PARK, IL — Some Metra Rock Island trains are beginning to move after a commuter train hit a pedestrian in Tinley Park, officials said.
Most inbound and outbound trains were operating with delays Wednesday afternoon, some as long as 40 minutes.
Spokeswoman Meg Riley said the person was hit early this afternoon as train #511 was making its way into the 80th Avenue station.
