NAS Testing Center Holds Ribbon Cutting In Tinley Park

TINLEY PARK, IL — NAS Testing Center, located 7460 Duvan Drive in Tinley Park, held its official ribbon cutting event on March 4, officially being welcomed into the Tinley Park community.

The testing facility initially opened for business in January, and operates as a drive-thru coronavirus testing center. The facility offers same day rapid testing results, PCR testing and hopes to soon offer the COVID-19 vaccine.

NAS opened its doors for COVID-19 testing to take place from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday - Friday and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, according to its website.

Founders Amer and Mousa Sweis said the event had a great turn out from community members and village officials.

"Our partnership with Tinley Park and Southwest urgent care has literally helped test thousands of people. The center has been a huge benefit to the community," the founders said in a statement to Patch. "NAS testing will also be offering a variety of blood test, health and wellness testing, DNA, travel vaccines, blood sugar levels and many more tests. They can call or visit our site to schedule their next drive-thru appointment."

The center offers more than just COVID-19 testing, the founders said it offers blood test, wellness panels, paternity, ancestry, diet and weight loss services and much more. PCR testing, with results in 1-3 days, rapid testing at a rate of $125 dollars and antibody testing is also available. Booking an appointment is required before attending. "We pride ourselves on keeping our testing lanes simple, fast and safe. We believe medical testing has changed due to the pandemic, and we want to be innovative in our testing standards. Our process will make sure people are safe and comfortable," the founders said. "People can now get tested without having to leave their car or look for a babysitter plus the hassle of looking for parking in bad weather."
