Help These Puppies — And Dogs — Find A Home
PAWS of Tinley Park and Oak Forest Animal want to find new owners for these canines.

National Puppy Day was March 23, and in honor of that day, we rounded up some of the puppies — and at a couple canines who've passed the puppy stage — in need of a home. The following dogs can be found at PAWS of Tinley Park and Oak Forest Animal Control.
Along with dogs needing adoption, PAWS also is looking for people who will be foster owners for animals. You can contact both organizations at these numbers:
- PAWS of Tinley Park: 815-464-7298 or go to the no-kill shelter's Facebook page and website for more information.
- Friends of Oak Forest Animal Control: 708-903-1845 or go to the group's Facebook page for more information.
Labador Puppies

These two labrador puppies were being sold in a parking lot, according to PAWS. Originally, there were six, but only three were left by the time a volunteer arrived, the shelter says.

Shepherd Mix Puppies

These six Shepherd mix puppies were part of an unwanted litter, PAWS says. The owner contacted a rescuer in Texas and asked for help with the puppies.

Two Lost Dogs
Oak Forest Animal Control currently has two unclaimed strays: a boy and girl found wandering on 150th Street and Cicero Avenue on March 19, according to the agency. It's unclear what breed the dogs are, but the boy is possibly a Dalmatian or Argentine dogo, the group says.
"They are Heinz 57's for sure," a representative from animal control said in an online message.
The boy is deaf, and the girl is his "hearing guide." The agency says they've been "[e]valuated as sweet and gentle," and animal control is trying to find them an adoptive home together.
