Four Arrested after Matteson Home Invasion, Barricade Situation
Incident began as an armed robbery, home invasion, police said.

MATTTESON, IL — Four people were arrested Tuesday afternoon, following what began as an armed robbery and developed into a barricade situation in Matteson.
Police responded to a call of an armed robbery in the 21200 block Maple St around 10:30 Tuesday morning. Four suspects allegedly entered the home of three people who they knew and demanded money at gunpoint. The suspects took cash and a cell phone and left, WGN reports.
Police tracked the suspects two blocks away at a home in the 3600 block of 211th Place. Police and SWAT surrounded the home, capturing the suspects after a three-hour standoff in another home where a child was present, police said.
