Registration Ongoing for Gigi's Playhouse Inaugural 5K

OAK FOREST, IL — Registration is now open for GiGi’s Playhouse Tinley Park first-ever 5k and 3rd Annual 1 Mile Walk/Kid’s Dash on Saturday, September 10 at Yankee Woods (16520 Central Avenue) in Oak Forest.

On-site registration and check-in will begin at 7:30am with the 5K kicking off at 9 a.m., 1 Mile Walk at 10 a.m. There will be a Kid’s Dash immediately following both the 5K and Walk. All proceeds from the event will go back to the Playhouse and directly fund educational and therapeutic based programs that are offered to participants and their families FREE of charge.

GiGi’s Playhouse is a Down syndrome Achievement Center and was originally founded in Hoffman Estates by Nancy Gianni. GiGi’s Playhouse currently has 31 locations nationwide, with one location in Mexico. GiGi’s offers free of charge educational and therapeutic based programs to individuals with Down syndrome and their families. The Tinley Park location serves over 180 families across the South and Southwest suburbs and services throughout the life span from prenatal diagnosis through adulthood.
