Saluting The Class Of 2021: Kate Seery Of Victor J. Andrew
Before this year's seniors head on to that next step in their lives, we want to take a moment to let their stars shine here on Patch.
TINLEY PARK, IL — The high school seniors of 2021 have had an experience like no other in a century — a year upended by a pandemic and by lockdowns that kept them from enjoying many of the activities that previous seniors have taken for granted.
Patch hopes to help make it up to those seniors by giving them a special sendoff. We asked parents and other family members to pay tribute to this year’s grads using a special submission form so we can publish those tributes one by one.

Plans after graduation: Attending University of Iowa
Accomplishments: Kate has been part of people tutors at Andrew which is being a peer buddy to special education students. Kate has also been an assistant coach for the Tinley Park Challengers for the past 6 years. The Challengers is a special education basball team thru the Tinley Park Bobcats. Kate has been playing Softball since age 5 and has been part of the Tinley Park Bulldogs, Bobcats and various travel teams such as the Illinois Celtics and is currently ending her softball career as playing on the Tinley Park Rockers 18U team. While attending Andrew HS, Kate was part of the gymnastics and softball teams and helped her mom with running the spiritwear stand during football games. Kate has over 100 hours of community service and is currently working part time at Smith Crossing in Orland Park serving food to very wonderful seniors and bringing smiles to all of them. When Kate is not spending time doing all of this, she enjoys spending time with her cousins, visiting her grandparents, watching her favorite tv shows and movies, taking trips to see her brother at Univ of Iowa, walking her dogs, Peanut and Lily and spending time with her friends and family..
