Threatening Texts Allegedly Sent By Tinley Park Trustee: Cops

TINLEY PARK, IL — A Tinley Park trustee is accused of sending threatening text messages to the boyfriend of his ex-fiancée. Brian Younker, 48, of the 7700 block of Bristol, was charged with misdemeanor harassment electronic communication Friday, according to the Daily Southtown.

Younker turned himself in at the police station Friday, Oct. 19, and was released on bail, the report stated. He denied making the threats and called the allegations "without merit," the report added.

Police chief Matthew Walsh told the Southtown that further details stemming from the case would be released.

Elected to the village board in 2015, Younker chairs the public works committee. His seat is up for election in April.
