Tinley Park Fire Department Gets an Interim Chief

Current Chief Ken Dunn retires at end of the month.

TINLEY PARK, IL — Village trustees have approved appointing Daniel Riordan as interim fire chief after the departure of Chief Ken Dunn at the end of July.

Riordan, 58, is currently deputy chief of fire prevention, and has been with the department for 35 years. He steps into the role filled by Dunn, who has been the department's chief since 1996.

His term as interim chief begins July 1 and runs through Sept. 30. The village will use a search firm to field possible permanent replacements.
