Tinley Officials to Host Meeting on Kimberly Heights Improvements, Annexation

Meeting set for Monday, July 11.

TINLEY PARK, IL — The Village of Tinley Park has developed a plan for installing needed public water system infrastructure improvements in the Kimberly Heights subdivision. These improvements will be financially supported by a $2.5 million grant from Cook County as an incentive to encourage annexation and to further the county’s objective of eliminating unincorporated areas.

The Village will host a presentation on the proposed improvements and annexation at 7 p.m. Monday, July 11 in the auditorium at Tinley Park High School, 6111 W. 175th St. The presentation will provide details on the improvements, annexation and the associated costs of the project.

To utilize the grant funds offered by Cook County to the Village, action must be initiated this year to offset related infrastructure improvements including Lake Michigan water and improvements to the storm water drainage system.
