Tinley Park Man Arrested After Sexting 14-Year-Old Girl: Sheriff
The 35-year-old man was planning to meet the teenager for sex after a month of sexually explicit texting, according to Sheriff Mike Kelley.
TINLEY PARK, IL — A Tinley Park man was arrested on allegations of grooming and indecent solicitation of a minor, after the Will County Sheriff's Office found sexually explicit text messages between the two, according to Sheriff Mike Kelley.
According to Kelley, on June 16, the sheriff's office launched an investigation after receiving a grooming complaint that involved Michael Riccio, 35, of Tinley Park.
Police said Riccio had been exchanging sexually explicit texts with a 14-year-old girl for a month. As the relationship continued to progress, Riccio attempted to meet up with the girl for sex, Kelley said.

Will County detectives received a search warrant for Riccio’s cellphone on June 21, Kelley said. Riccio was then taken into custody without incident, and was interviewed by detectives. During the interview, Riccio made "incriminating statements" to detectives, according to Kelley.
Riccio is currently at the Will County Adult Detention Facility, awaiting a bond hearing, Kelley said.
