Tinley Park Man Arrested After Shots Fired During Funeral: Police
Police said Mahmoud Yassin, 28, fired multiple shots during a burial Thursday afternoon at Parkholm Cemetery in La Grange Park.

TINLEY PARK, IL — A Tinley Park man was arrested in connection with an incident at a burial at Parkholm Cemetery in La Grange Park, according to a police news release. Another man was apprehended as well.
Mahmoud Yassin, 28, of Tinley Park, was arrested just after 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the cemetery, after being identified as the one who fired multiple rounds from a 9mm handgun during the burial, according to the release. Investigations say that he discharged the handgun in the air multiple times.
Yassin was charged with reckless discharge of a firearm, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, reckless conduct and disorderly conduct.

In 2017, Yassin was charged in connection with a shooting at Uncle Sam's Gyros in Burbank. An official said at the time that Yassin was a known gang member.
The other man arrested was Taji Gaines, 19, of Oak Lawn. Gaines was arrested after it was discovered he was concealing a gun while attending the burial, police said. He was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, reckless conduct and disorderly conduct.

The men will be taken to Cook County Court on Saturday for a bond hearing, police said.
