Tinley Park Man Killed In Thanksgiving Crash On I-80
The accident happened Thursday, near the Illinois-Indiana border.

SOUTH HOLLAND, IL — A Thanksgiving Day crash on Interstate 80 near the Illinois-Indiana border claimed the life of a Tinley Park man. William Wermes, 67, died from his injuries in the accident, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
The crash happened just before 10:15 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 22, on I-80, east of Illinois-394, the report stated. Wermes had been driving in the interstate's westbound lanes, the report added.
According to the Cook County medical examiner's office, Wermes was pronounced dead an hour after the crash, the report stated. Multiple blunt force injuries from the accident were the cause of death, the report added.

Indiana State Police are investigating the crash but did not give details of the incident.
