Tinley Park Police Investigating Residential Burglaries
Residents were home when all three crimes were committed.

TINLEY PARK, IL — Tinley Park police are investigating three residential burglaries that recently occurred during overnight hours when the homes were occupied.
In one instance on Aug. 12 in the 6800 block of Zurich Lane, a suspect entered an unlocked car and took a garage door opener, which he or she then used to gain access to the house. Inside, the suspect stole the car keys from a purse and then stole the car, which was later recovered in Chicago. This all occurred while the homeowner was in the house.
In the early morning hours on Aug. 22, a suspect entered two occupied homes in the 16100 block of Eagle Ridge Drive. In one case the house was unlocked, and in the other the offender forced his or her way into the home. A purse was stolen from one home.
