Tinley Park Police Investigating Robbery Shooting
The "isolated incident" occurred Sunday in the 7800 block of Joliet Drive.

TINLEY PARK, Ill. — The Tinley Park Police Department is investigating a robbery that resulted in a shooting on Sunday, June 20.
In what police are describing as an “isolated incident,” per a news release issued on June 21, the robbery occurred in the 7800 block of Joliet Drive. While the male victim was shot at, the bullet only “grazed [the] victim’s head.”

“The victim told police he was returning home shortly after 4 a.m. when a man wearing dark clothing and a black face covering approached him and demanded money,” the press release stated. “After a short scuffle, the victim gave the man money. The [suspect] then fired one shot, which grazed victim’s head, before fleeing the scene with the money.”
The victim was treated and later released from Silver Cross Hospital, according to the news release.
