Tinley Travel Alert: 4th Of July Road Closures Announced
Tinley will close 80th Ave. from 167th St. to 171st St., and 169th St. from 80th to 81st Ave. Thursday evening for 4th of July celebrations.
TINLEY PARK, IL — Tinley revelers should plan for street closures Thursday as the village prepares for its annual Fourth of July celebration.
Officials will close 80th Avenue between 167th Street and 171st Street from 5 to 10:30 p.m.
They will also close 169th Street between 80th Avenue and 81st Avenue from 4:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

The Tinley Park-Park District's Annual 4th of July Celebration is a community that begins with a morning Stars and Stripes 5K race. After that, opening ceremonies kick off at 4 p.m., and live music, food, free games are fired up until the Tinley Park Fireworks Extravaganza display goes off after sunset.
Admission is free.

The festival and show will be held at McCarthy Park at 16801 S. 80th Ave. in Tinley.
