These 10 colleges and universities have the best athletic programs in the state, according to a ranking by Niche.
If your ideal college experience includes watching your school’s sports team play and win, then these colleges might be the right pick for you.
Niche ranked more than 700 colleges nationwide based on the quality of their athletics programs. The ranking takes into account indicators like how much revenue athletics departments bring in, student surveys on program quality, number of national championships and how many students participate in on-campus sports.
Using this methodology, these are the Top 10 colleges with the best athletic programs in Illinois. Two of these schools also made the cut on Niche's national list.
