Top 25 Most and Least Stressed Out Illinois Cities

Living in Illinois can be super stressful.

From the outrageous budget impasse and endless political corruption to sluggish job growth and the highest-in-the-nation property taxes, there are plenty of reasons to pull your hair out — if you haven’t already lost it.

Of course, life in general is stressful. Everyone gets stressed out from time to time, regardless of where they live. But according to the career website Zippia, residents of some Illinois cities are more stressed out than others.

Zippia ranked the state’s most stressed out places using six indicators: percentage of population with a commute over 30 minutes, unemployment rate, hours worked, population density, percentage of income spent on rent and percentage of the population without health insurance.

Here are the Top 25 most and least stressed out cities in Illinois, according to Zippia.
