Toy Drive At Culver's Benefits Kids In Need
Toys will be accepted at four south suburban Culver's locations to help the South Suburban Toys for Kids program.

TINLEY PARK, IL — A month-long toy drive held at four south suburban Culver's restaurants will benefit the South Suburban Toys for Kids organization, a non-profit with a mission to homeless children and others in need in Chicago's south suburbs. The four Culver's locations below — the ones in Tinley Park, Orland Park, Homewood and Matteson — will accept toy donations from Monday, Nov. 25 until Saturday, Dec. 21.
This year’s toy drive is particularly meaningful as the founder of South Suburban Toys for Kids, Ms. Loquator B Dinkins (who started the organization in 1974 out of her own home), died earlier this year. The participating Culver’s locations are honored to continue supporting her legacy with the help of their loyal customers, according to a news release.
Culver’s will also have their 2020 calendars, complete with monthly coupons, available for $5 each and donate all proceeds from those sales to the purchase of more toys for this year's drive.

The toys gathered at the four Culver's will be distributed to more than 2,000 children in need on Dec. 22 at a "toy giveaway event" at the "Let's Play" sports bar and grill at 15420 Dixie Highway in Harvey.
