Toys For Tots: How To Donate This Year In Tinley Park

Find out where and when residents can drop off toys for the 2018 campaign.

TINLEY PARK, IL — The Tinley Park Police Department is a drop-off location for this year's Toys for Tots campaign, which is sponsored by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. The program collects toys to be given to children whose parents cannot afford gifts for the holidays.

Toys can be donated through Dec. 16 at the village police station, 7850 W. 183rd St. They eventually will be delivered to Chicago's 2nd Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment.

Donated toys must follow these guidelines, according to the village:

  • Must be new (no used toys) in the original, sealed packaging
  • Must be unwrapped
  • Stuffed animals should be avoided because of allergy and dust concerns
