Some Illinoisans—we’ve heard of some Wauconda residents, for instance—caught a glimpse of the Northern Lights phenomenon as it painted midwestern skies Monday or Tuesday.
Others turned their eyes skyward with no such luck. Wisconsin resident Peter Ciro captured the magic on film and shared it with the U.S. National Weather Service. Check out the breathtaking timelapse of the spectacle.
