Water Conservation Measures Active Through Mid-September

The measures come in an effort to conserve water for fire protection, health and environmental reasons.

TINLEY PARK, IL — The Village of Tinley Park is reminding residents to conserve water this summer.

According to an announcement on the village's website, water conservation measures are in effect now through Sept. 15.

"During this time, lawn sprinkling and outdoor water usage is only permitted from 7 to 11 a.m. and 7 to 11 p.m. on odd or even dates of the month depending on the last digit of the address for homes and businesses, including those with lawn irrigation systems," the village states on its website.

If a resident isn't sure what days they are allowed to water, they are encouraged to call the Tinley Park Public Works Department at (708) 444-5500. See more information about water conservation on the village website.
