Details: Tammen Treeberry Farm is one of the largest choose and cut Christmas tree farms in Illinois. Details: Our trees are organically grown and pruned by hand. Wagon rides to and from the pines, tree shaking, and baling are included at no extra charge. Hot coffee and cocoa (both Fair Trade) are available in the Warming House. Hand saws are also provided, or bring your own (no chain saws or axes, please). Handcrafted holiday items are available for sale in the Warming House. If you bring your dog, please keep it on a leash while you are here, and do not bring it into the Warming House. Ten percent of tree sales is donated to the Environmental Defenders of McHenry County, and most of the workers are volunteers from the Defenders.

Details: Farm offers thousands of trees in 9 varieties of firs and pines, from 6 to 12 feet tall. Farm uses organic farming practices, and all trees are pesticide-free. The farm offers complimentary horse-drawn wagon rides, free shaking and bailing, complimentary coffee and hot cocoa, farm animals and Santa Claus is also on hand at the farm. Ben’s has fresh, hand-made wreaths and greens items. Ben’s tree farm offers fully decorated as well as decorate-your-own wreaths made from fresh cultivated Fraser fir.
