Whiskers Wednesday: Adopt Checkers, Give Cuddles

TINLEY PARK, IL — It's Wednesday, and for PAWS Tinley Park, that means it's Whiskers Wednesday. And for Checkers this week, it means being featured on the PAWS Facebook page.

Checkers an affectionate little guy, but is pretty afraid at the shelter. He hides under his blanket often, PAWS said on their Facebook page.

But lift up the blankets and "the gentle sounds of his purr fill the room," the post says." He loves to give head butts and get his cheeks scratched & enjoys kneading his blankets."

He's 4 years old. On his wish list this year: cheek scratches, affection, cuddles and, of course, a home.

All he needs is somebody to take a chance on him, the shelter says, and he'll be "the most loving cat you've ever known."

Don't let his shyness stop you!
