Last year, every single athlete on the Titan Boys Bowling team increased their average score by ten pins. This year, the team continued to put in hard work and effort and ended their official season on January 18th at regionals hosted by District 228 rival Bremen High School.
While the team finished seventh in the 14-team tournament with a score of 5,590, two Titan bowlers have officially qualified for sectionals - John McClelland and Evan Veres.

"Hoping to do well, maybe make it to state," says Team Captain, McClelland.
While all of the bowlers are approaching the sport with a competitive mindset, McClelland also says it's about enjoying the sport and having fun.

"We're just chilling with our buddies, having a good time," he explains.
Tinley Park High School was just 230 pins shy of Regional Champion, Sandburg High School. The top four bowling teams advance to the sectional and the top 10 individuals, which includes McCelleand and Veres, also attend sectionals and compete.
McClelland and Veres competed in the state tournament last year.
Will they take home the title this year?
Titan bowling fans can cheer them on at sectionals hosted by Lockport High School on Saturday, January 25th at Strike and Spare (811 Northern Dr., Lockport, IL 60441) at 9am.
