Man Seriously Injured In Shooting Near Mundelein
A 22-year-old man was hospitalized after being shot while inside his bedroom by someone outside his home, police said.
LAKE COUNTY, IL — A 22-year-old man was seriously injured after being shot in his bedroom by someone who fired a gun outside his home, authorities said Monday. Lake County Sheriff's Office deputies were called to the home in the 26200 block of North Hickory Avenue in unincorporated Mundelein around 2:15 a.m. on April 22 for the reported shooting. When they arrived, they found the man with a gunshot wound to his abdomen, according to a news release.
The man, who has not been identified, was taken to the hospital in serious condition. A preliminary investigation shows he was shot while in his bedroom by someone outside of his home, according to police.
