Cheer On, Highlight Our First Responders at NW Suburban Fest

Our First Responders stand for our protection, and are ready and waiting for their call to duty. Join Adrenaline Sports Management as a spotlight is cast on their commitment and daily sacrifices to provide for the health, safety and welfare of all citizens-through an exciting family-friendly event at the end of August in Palatine.

Northwest Community Healthcare, Country Financial and Chicago Casino Rentalshave joined forces as presenting sponsors of the 2nd Annual First Responders Family Fest, to be held on Saturday, August 22nd at Deer Grove East Forest Preserve in Palatine.

Event day will start out with a Youth 1-Mile Run for children 12 and under at 8:30 a.m., followed by a 5K Fun Run/Walk for those ages 13 and older.

The main event is the First Responders Obstacle Course Challenge starting at 11 a.m. Come on out and cheer on the teams of three, which will compete in events including a tug-of-war, team relay and obstacle course, potato sack relay race, tire flip and hose run, half mile run and strength and endurance circuit. Do you have what it takes?

First Responders, including police, firefighters, military, EMT’s and others called to serve and protect, as well as teams from the general public are invited to register for this exciting event! The winning team will receive half of the event proceeds and a 1st place trophy. Second and third place team will also receive trophies and all will have bragging rights until next year!

The fun continues with a balloon toss and tug-of-war open to all attendees.

Throughout the day, nearly two dozen Showcase Vendors, including businesses and organizations, will be highlighting their products and services. Be sure to visit all the vendor tables, including Country Financial, which will be raffling off a big-screen TV, in addition to a number of giveaways and product/service demonstrations from all the vendors!
