D128 Special Olympians Win State Soccer Championship

The D128 Storm brought home the soccer championship trophy from the Special Olympics Illinois Summer Games in Bloomington/Normal.

The Community High School District 128 Special Olympics Team earned yet another state champion title! The soccer team won the Division 2 state championship at the Special Olympics Illinois Summer Games held June 7-9 in Bloomington/Normal.

Summer Games is Special Olympics Illinois' premiere sports competition with more than 4,000 athletes and Unified Partners competing in six different sports, along with 1,600 coaches, 2,000 volunteers and 3,300 family members. Nearly 11,000 people attend annually.
