Dress Up & Dance! ® On The Move
Lake County's Premiere Dance Experience, Dress Up & Dance, Is On The Move
July 17, 2020, Mundelein, IL –Dress Up & Dance, Lake County’s premiere social dance organization, has announced that they are “On The Move” to take dancing to the streets and promote movement and good health during the COVID-19 social distancing requirements. Formerly located on Terrace Drive in Mundelein, the former club was well-known for offering a safe, non-alcoholic environment for dancers and non-dancers alike to gather, socialize, and … just dance.
Due to restrictions from the coronavirus pandemic, Dress Up & Dance! ® owners Angela and Richard Hill sought to find a way to promote healthy social activity. As a result, the club has moved its dancing out to the streets of Lake County, hosting outdoor dances in local park district parking lots on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, weather permitting.
“Since the club’s start, we’ve been about building community with dancers in Lake County and surrounding areas,” said Angela Hill. “Since large indoor group dances are currently unavailable, dancers are looking for other opportunities to move and practice their skills. We’re still focused on socializing and dancing, we’re just moving it outdoors now.”

Dancers and non-dancers alike are welcomed at the weekend events, which, due to restrictions on the size of gatherings, require an RSVP through the club’s website, www.dress-dance.com . Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs, water, and snacks. There is no cost to attend; however, donations are appreciated.
Future outdoor dance venues will include Independence Grove, Ravinia, and the Chicago Botanic Gardens. Dress Up & Dance! ® also looks forward to hosting indoor dances again when it is safe to do so.
